Milan Jurisic, 37, angered members of the Belgrade’s Zemun Clan, a division of the Serbian mafia. The dispute was allegedly over money, but new evidence indicates that the source of conflict may have actually been a woman. Whatever the issue, Jurisic, who was on the run after being convicted for the assassination of Serbia’s prime minister in 2003, was in enough trouble to be hunted down and killed in Madrid, Spain in 2009.
